Who I am and why I created the video course Macro da Paura
I am a professional photographer specialising in portraits of newborns, children, families and maternity. My technical training, gained whilst working with some of Italy’s finest advertising and portrait photographers, forms the foundation of my work in the newborn photography sector, where precision, sensitivity and care come together. Over the years, I have developed a personal approach to photography: a balance between rigorous technique and authenticity, which makes every shot unique and meaningful. I have had the privilege of teaching this method to colleagues in Italy and abroad, sharing expertise on posing, lighting, newborn safety and managing relationships with parents and children. With Macro da Paura, I guide you through my world of micro-details and advanced techniques, to help you see and capture the beauty that often escapes the naked eye.
What can you find in macro da paura
Module 1 – Photography techniques: a lecture in which we will cover all the key aspects of taking flawless macro photographs.
Module 2 – Practical exercises + PDF: a lesson designed to help you practise outside of newborn sessions, in a calm and focused environment, so that you can truly apply what you’ve learnt to your work with newborns.
Module 3 – On-set lesson: a hybrid lesson in which you’ll be able to watch me at work on set and understand how I position myself for macro shots, with videos showing you ‘what I see’ accompanied by my voiceover.
Module 4 – Post-production: Macro photography requires specific post-processing techniques to produce evocative, polished images; here you’ll discover how to bring out every detail and make your macro shots truly unforgettable.
Module 5 – Portfolio review: image analysis.
